CAS Chengdu Institute of Biology analyzes use of thermotolerant yeast for bioethanol production

In an attempt to identify breeding targets for bioethanol production at elevated temperature, a team around Qian CHEN analyzed thermotolerant yeast strain M206111 transcriptomics during ethanol production above 37 °C. Parameters relevant to bioethanol production, e. g., trehalose accumulation and heat shock protein production, were identified.
