GM crops in China in 2013 were planted on 4,2 million ha, just 2,5 % of global GM area

Compared to the USA (70 million ha), Brazil and Argentina (40 and 24 million ha), GM crops in China are still a minor activity. GM plants in China are cotton, papaya, poplar, tomato and sweet pepper.
