Shanghai Environmental Institute of Technology develops high-preformance air purifier

A group around Professor Jianbo CHEN developed an absorber which reached removal of 99 % of PM2.5 and 96 % removal of formaldehyde. The system is based on three layers: a heavy dust filter, an APG filter and a heavy gas adsorption medium. It was successfully tested at the Shanghai Environmental Protection Inspection Unit.
