In the framework of this program, each year 5 Jiangsu researchers with a doctorate and excellent English or German language skills are financially supported by Jiangsu S&T department to study for one year at a Fraunhofer Institute in Germany. The long-term target of Jiangsu is to establish its own organization similar to Fraunhofer for the advancement of technology in SMEs. Jiangsu is among the most advanced provinces in China.
