Hefei University, Cornell University team and others sequence genome of Chinese kiwi (Actinidia chinensis)

„Chinese gooseberry“ were originally bred in China and exported to New Zealand about 100 years ago. The plant is rich in vitamin C, carotenoids and other valuable nutrients. The genome sequence will permit a more rational approach to breeding.
