According to a “blue book” published in Beijing recently about 1/3 of Chinese women and 1/5 of men suffer from osteoporosis, higher numbers than for breast and prostate cancer. 15 % of Chinese women over 50 have spinal fractures, and osteoporotic hip fractures show hight incidences.
