“Noah’s Ark” marine germ plasm repository will be built in Xiamen, Fujian Province

Construction has started for a „National Marine Germplasm Repository“ that will cover pharmaceutical-related libraries of over 6.000 animals, plants, micro algae etc. on 2000 m2 from China’s national coastlines and the polar regions. Support and samples come from the CAS and over 20 universities engaged in marine research.
