Researchers at the Chinese University of Science and Technology (USTC) develop new nanomaterial for cleaning pollution of lakes

To remedy China’s heavily polluted lakes (Chaoku Lake (13.000 km2): > 5 million algae particles/liter), the construction of sewage plants is gaining momentum. A team around Professor Chongzheng FAN of USTC has developed an undisclosed new nanomaterial (probably based on TiO2) which mineralizes algae at high efficiency
