Liaoning to build first „bioenergy forest“ based on yellowhorn, plans annual 80.000 t output of aviation fuel by 2020

In a collaboration among the State Forest Energy Research Center and Chaoyang New Continent Biological Energy Co., 65 km2 of yellowhorn plants (Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge) plantations have already been completed. Breeding programs are underway, and by 2020, the plans are for 1340 km2 plantation area.
