Team at CAS Institute of Microbiology, Beijing, compares antibiotic resistance genes in Chinese, Danish and Spanish gut microbiome

The group isolated the metagenomes of gut microbiota from 162 individuals. They identified a total of 1,093 antibiotic resistance genes and found that Chinese individuals harbour the highest number and abundance of antibiotic resistance genes, followed by Danish and Spanish individuals.
