Structured conical arrays of cactus spines collect water and can collect micron-sized oil droplets from water: Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences

If structures were formed with an oleophilic array of conical needles, similar to cactus spines, these materials were able to collect micron-sized droplets underwater and transport them towards the base of the needles continuously and with high throughput.
