Group at Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology solves structure of a xylosidase from a thermophile

In collaboration with Taiwan’s Academica Sinica and the University of Georgia, the group solved the x-ray structure of XylC, a β-xylosidase from Thermoanaerobacterium saccharolyticum JW/SL-YS485 in the presence of various substrates, leading to a postulated mechanism of action.
