As published by the Treasury on April 26, the 292 national key laboratories will receive an additional 2.748 billion RMB in 2013 (~200 million €), 2.072 billion yuan for special research topics, and 676 million RMB for instruments and equipment.National key laboratories are high-level basic and applied research laboratories, often set up jointly by universities and CAS research centers. They are considered cornerstones for innovation and training of talents.
