Researchers at University of Science and Technology of China develop transglutaminase-based procedure to restore damaged ancient silk fabrics

The procedure, developed by Professor ZHU Zhanyun’s group, is based on the addition of sodium caseinate to the silk specimen, followed by TG2 transglutaminase treatment.
