Kunming team suggests colorectal cancer to be associated with specific bacteria in gut microbiome

On analyzing the composition of gut bacteria in 8 Chinese with colorectal cancer and comparing to a control group, the team of ZHANG Zhigang and GENG Jiawei of CAS Kunming Institute of Zoology observed significant increases in Roseburia at tumor sites, with concurrent decrease of both Microbacterium and Anoxybacillus.
