CAS Institute of Oceanology and Dalian Hai Bao Fisheries Co. breed high quality Wakame-type algae

The dried brown Wakame algae Undaria pinnatifida are an important taste enhancer, e. g., for miso soups, and have a range of health effects, e. g., on reducing blood fat and preventing goiter. They are cultivated along 8 m breeding lines and in this project have reached record 110 kg yields
