GTPase may be factor in M. tuberculosis resistance towards fluoroquinolones

A consortium led by the CAS Institute of Microbiology in Beijing has identified a new factor (MfpB = Mycobacterium fluoroquinolone resistance protein B) which confers resistance towards fluoroquinolones, the preferred tuberculosis drug. The protein is a GTPase.
