Chinese Academy of Fisheries succeeds in artificial breeding of Chinese sturgeon, a Yangtse river “living fossil” fish

The Yantse river branch of the Chinese Academy of Fisheries has achieved artificial breeding technology breeding (spawning of over 60.000 fertilized eggs in first and over 20.000 in second generation) of the Chinese sturgeon (Acipenser), an endangered species, protected fish and “living fossil”.
