Chinese-led consortium completes genome sequence and analysis of diploid cotton

Much of this work on Gossypium raimondii work was done at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Anyang and at BGI in Shenzen and provides a good reference for accelerating the genomic research on tetraploid cotton species such as G. hirsutum and G. barbadense
